Through the refined lens of Kunqu opera, it unfolds with heightened emotions and a profound sense of humanity.
The upcoming Hong Kong performance stars Li An and Shen Yili, two winners of the prestigious China Theatre Plum Blossom Award, as the central couple whose relentless pursuit of justice anchors the drama. The climactic scene “Writing the Petition”, a grand showcase of their finesse and intensity, is a must-see moment for xiqu lovers.
